The Garden
We are a nature-rich green sanctuary, community garden and heritage site to the west of Grimsby, offering volunteering opportunities, a green community hub, meeting places, educational opportunities and skills- building to those living in North East Lincolnshire with social or skills challenges.
We have a 3.5 acre site with roots going back 100 years, with growing areas, a wetland, small wood and heritage apple orchard.
The Silent Space
Our Silent Space is reached by walking along our nature trail which is lined with hand-carved seasonal markers. This sheltered, nature-rich space is entered through an archway of trees which opens out into a peaceful planted space which is full of cherry blossom and daffodils in the Spring.
There are seats and bird feeders for visitors to enjoy, as well as a wind phone for those wanting to reflect and find comfort and healing. The space is enclosed on one side by our heritage apple orchard and on the other by our woodland, helping visitors to benefit from this contemplative and nurturing space.
