Over the last two decades, this modern garden has grown out of the ancient landscape, naturalistic in its planting, as well as exotic, and even stylised in parts.  Distinct areas, including a lush bog garden, exotic courtyard, and a field of ornamental grasses combine to create a garden that unfolds as you journey through it.  Abundant sitting places and a well-stocked library, invite visitors to take their time.

Deep in the cwm at the further edge of the garden runs the Fernant stream, flowing under twisted willows covered in lichens and mosses.  By the oxbow, a small wooden bridge leads to a dell in the wilderness where the canopy opens up and the sun streams in.  A garden bench invites you into this, our Silent Space.
