Nestled in the Torridge valley and surrounded by woodland, RHS Garden Rosemoor is full of contrasts. The original garden created by Lady Anne Berry over a period of some 30 years is very much a plantsman’s garden. The area developed since 1988 has something for every garden-lover, from the dazzling hot garden or enchanting meadows to the calming lake and stream garden.
The Silent Space
Located in the woodlands above Lady Anne’s Garden, this space is away from the main gardens and is not reached by the majority of visitors. Bluebells bloom beneath the fresh beech foliage in spring. The dark brooding greens of summer are followed by russet autumnal tones and aromas, while stark branches trace patterns across the winter sky.
