The headquarters of Cheshire Wildlife Trust can be found at Bickley Hall Farm – a 210 acre organic working farm situated just outside Malpas in rural Cheshire.
As part of a wildlife-friendly farm management regime supported by Natural England’s Countryside Stewardship Scheme, the Bickley Hall Farm nature reserve has species-rich hay meadows and pastures, bordered by diverse hedgerows which are great for invertebrates, small mammals and in particular, hundreds of feeding farmland birds in autumn and winter. The nature reserve has a dedicated nature trail leading off the popular Sandstone Trail walking route, leading down to the Silent Space.
The Silent Space
The Silent Space is located at Bar Mere on the Bickley Hall Farm trail. Maps can be obtained from reception at Bickley Hall Farm during office hours.
